The Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists

Physio Led Pilates – Starts Monday 14th August

Our bodies are often caught in a state of stress or flight or fight (and even more so in the last few years during the pandemic) and our classes are designed to relax the nervous system and help people switch out of this fight or flight mode.

In a Pilates class, we work through a series of slow sustained exercises focusing on control and breath awareness. Including breath work in the class as part of the movements is hugely beneficial for our bodies.

Why you should join us?

Classes are taught by a Chartered Physiotherapist, who can guide each person safely through the class. We also ensure everyone is observed and supported, whilst also keeping it challenging for various levels of ability.

Classes will be kept to a small number which allows for modification and adaptation of  certain exercises for people with various injuries.

Information about the classes:

No experience is necessary and we have classes that will be aimed at a beginner levels, and more advanced levels.

All classes are mat-based and all you need to bring to class is your own mat. We advise suitable workout attire, whatever is comfortable for you, and bring water also.

We ask that you let us know if you have any mobility issues before hand. If you cannot get up from the floor without any assistance, then the classes may not be suitable for you.

We will go through any past medical history or injury queries before starting classes and classes will run in blocks of 6 weeks.

Our next block of classes are starting on Monday 14th August 2023
